I think its best to agree to disagree at this point. We see things through 2 different lenses on this issue and I repect that enough to realize we are just going in circles here.
Not to mention, you can outbubble me :O
"That game was critically praised across the board (Meatacritic: PS3 87, 360 90)."
All of my games have been praised critically. Thats why they are here.
Gameplay is only one part of the puzzle. The next and most important part is presentation and that is where Bayonetta falls apart. You are asking me to ignore the sexual part of bayonetta but that is like asking me to ignore the paint of the painting.
"And, they're not supposed to be as hard, they're supposed to be the Beatles!"
That is the problem here. Rhythm games are not about listening to good music, that is just the icing on the cake. The actual cake part comes from a challenge. It comes from the feeling you get when you finally are able to play on expert after practicing for weeks from the ground up on easy mode. Its about climbing mountains and breaking barriers to finally build up enough skill to...
Gaming is not a democracy and when it is treated that way, games tend to backfire. Look at black ops for example. For the most part, Treyarach followed every critique that fans gave about MW2. They removed nukes, commando, quickscoping, and balanced the game to a greater extent than MW did and the game pretty much ended up being worse than MW2. The point is fans dont know what the hell they want. For years, they demanded photo realistic experiences on every level but when GTA IV brought that,...
According to recent news, people with buy neither because the ipad and its .99 cent flash games are apparently taking over.
:/
Most of these games arent very good. They have potential but what theyve shown so far dosnt get my hopes up for a sequel for any of them. Sorry, thats just how I feel.
Not really. The Beatles were not skilled in instuments at all. The magic came from writing simple melodies and putting really powerful lyrics over them. This works great for songs but for a game its just boring. Every song on expert can be 5 starred on its first try even if you suck at rhythm games. Even as a player who has beaten the hardest songs rhythm games has to offer, I would not say im being biased on this at all. The Beatles Rock Band is just too painfully easy. A rhythm game with no...
This is one of the best reviews hes done in a while. The supressed laughter when he mentioned personal views on relationships was priceless. Im glad yahtzee still has some funny im him.
That pic is fake. That is clearly a shopped bear ready to hibernate. Nice try though.
God, I cant even give a positive comment to a game without Halo fans jumping all over me. If the game is so great, why does this always happen when somone tries to criticise it for its obvious flaws? Then you have the nerve to call my opinion "subjective" and then blatently add in your own subjective opinion about PS3 games you obviously hate and state it as fact in the next damn sentence. This is why I tend to stay away from debates about Halo. The fans are so sensitive that they w...
The difference between Halo last generation and Halo this generation is huge. Halo dominated last generation and had no competition. This generation, it didnt innovate at all and because of that, it got thrown to the wolves and overshadowed by its competition. It had a chance to pull it back and redominate, but ODST and Reach could not get the spark that Halo 2 had. In short, Halo fell into what I like to call the Resident evil trap. It refused to change its gameplay to keep up with the times...
He is right really. All FPS games are basically Doom clones much like how every free roam game is a GTA clone. If you want to go even deeper than that, you could say that every game in the word owes its existance to pong lol.
They should really change that title to "online shooters." Halo's success was in the online area but the gameplay was pretty average and uninspired, which is why it was not able to really last in a market full of innovating titles.
You mean we have even more attractive women now.
That is the most epic post ive seen in a while.
I have always wondered what I would do if I lost my arm. I guess I would have to buy a wii.
EDIT whoops wrong thread
Id rather not see my future consoles testing my blood pressure. Its bad enough there is a game that weighs you.
PS3 wasnt build for in game XMB either...
